Dear St. Joe Angel Dads,
Welcome to St. Joseph's Academy and the Fathers’ Club!

Whether you are a returning dad, or father of an incoming freshman or new student, you are already a member of the Fathers’ Club.

Our primary purpose is to raise money for the St. Joseph's Academy Parent Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund covers the cost of tuition for any Angel who loses her primary tuition-paying parent while attending St. Joe. In doing so, we ensure that she will not have to leave her friends and school at this most difficult time. We fund these scholarships through our annual St. Joe Classic Golf Tournament, which will be held this year on Monday, October 1, at Meadowbrook Country Club.

We also host several other activities and social events (noted below) that give us the opportunity to spend time with our daughters and meet other SJA dads. Our most popular event is the annual Father-Daughter Dance held in January. Please place these dates on your calendar and plan on joining us.

While I will be serving as the President of the Fathers’ Club for this school year, our other officers include Vice President – Chris Hayes (Mary ’20), Treasurer – Bob Kimes (Mallory ’20 and Kelsey ’22), Secretary – Lou Rybacki (Holly ’21), Hospitality Chair – Bob Puricelli (Emily ’20) and Service Chair – Chris Doehring (Kate ‘19).

We also have a number of dads who love to help by either leading a committee or serving as a member on one of the committees, including Golf, BBQ and Service. If any of these committees sound like something you’d be interested in, please visit our online volunteer site to learn more about each one of them and sign up.

I also understand that not every father has the time or desire to volunteer and that is okay. Please plan on attending and enjoying as many events as you can.   It is truly the participation of all our dads that, I believe, makes us a great organization!

The Fathers’ Club provides an excellent way for you to live the school’s motto, “Not I, But We.” As I can attest and as many of us already know, your daughter’s time at St. Joseph’s Academy will fly by in the blink of an eye. There is no better time to lend your support than by participating in the Fathers’ Club.

I look forward to seeing you at the Back to School BBQ Social on Thursday, September 20th.
