JoeBotics

By: Dr. Rose Davidson, STEM Coordinator
Congratulations to the JoeBotics Team for a great performance at the DeSmet Qualifying event on Friday, December 7.

According to Mrs. Julie Haddock, the team’s faculty coach, “The girls had a great night. The robot worked without hesitation in all matches and the autonomous (programmed) part of our matches was a big scorer. Drivers Kristin Strout and Sydney Hilker and driver coaches Katie Kostecki and Kate Broun worked wonderfully together. St. Joe won 3 of the 5 matches, and in one, had the high score for the night. They finished in 5th place out of the 12 teams. At the end of the last match, the robot 'latched' (30 pts for that!) in the highest position of all the matches. It was a good way to finish a long and happy night.”

The JoeBotics Team was on the alliance with the highest score of the meet - 197 points. They have made a good start on the quest to make another trip to the State Championship.
