Welcome Week 2018

The tradition of a Welcome/Hello Week at SJA dates back to the 1950s. This year, the theme was “Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth.” STUCO kicked off the spirited week by handing out Minnie Mouse ears to the Class of 2022. Each day, students dressed up in special themes, including grade school uniforms, Disney characters and memes.

The week ended with the festive St. Joe Day. The Class of 2019 wore festive capes (a tradition since the early 1990s) and spread the SJA spirit to the underclassmen. Following a severe weather drill, the CSJ Walk of Peace and Prayer garden took place in the Chapel. After the beautiful gathering, students gathered in the gym for a pep assembly, dodgeball and the senior pie eating contest. Later that morning, Campus Ministry hosted its biennial hair donation event, “SJA Rocks the Bob.” S-J-A!
