Congratulations Sophie Maniscalco!

By Dr. Rosemary Davidson, STEM Coordinator
Congratulations to Sophie Maniscalco ‘21. She and a team of four friends from her coding camps participated in the GlobalHack VII Competition on October 12 and 13 at St. Louis University’s Chaifetz Arena. It was a long weekend with 100 teams of 712 participants taking on 48 hours of non-stop coding. Sophie’s team’s project, which created a website to help teen immigrants in the St. Louis area, won first place in the youth division. They will split the $10,000 prize.
