WWT Hackathon Team

By Dr. Rosemary Davidson
The SJA WWT Hackathon Team recently competed in the World Wide Technology Hackathon, presenting an online ordering app which they created to increase sales at Cup of Joe. The competition took place at World Wide Technology’s International Headquarters in Maryland Heights.

Margaret Blackburn, Grace Conway, Mary Hayes, Helen Ann Stone and Katie Young represented our team at the competition and gave a fantastic presentation (including samples from Cup of Joe) which was well received by the judges. The team secured $1,000 for our STEM program at St. Joe through their innovative collaboration!

Our official team included the ten members of the Java course involved with the presentation and app creation. Thanks to Mrs. Siegel for leading the students through the involved coding!
