Fine Arts and STEM

By: Caroline Wright ’14, Intern
The Fine Arts Department has worked to incorporate STEM into projects throughout the semester. Ceramics classes created ceramic tiles, which incorporated plant and animal cell organelles, highlighting the beauty in their design. Design students designed, created and packaged toy dolls. Parts for the dolls were programmed in and printed using SJA's 3-D printers, integrating technology and engineering. Freshmen in Introduction to Art created comic book characters using Photoshop.
