Seniors Serve the “Dear Neighbor”

Members of the Class of 2021 served the “Dear Neighbor” through special service projects and volunteer roles. One group is participating in the “Service of the Heart: Virtual Immersion Service Experience” with the Br. David Darst Center of Chicago. By exploring issues of peace and justice through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, the center provides transformative urban immersion experiences and educational programs.

The Angels enjoyed connecting with a representative from Growing Home Inc, an organization that addresses food insecurity in Chicago. Her dedication and passion for her work for the “Dear Neighbor” reflects the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Charism of “right relationship.” She encouraged the seniors to become ambassadors for service work around the St. Louis area.
St. Joseph’s Academy is a college preparatory high school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Our mission at the Academy is to provide quality Catholic education for young women in an environment that challenges them to grow in faith, knowledge, and respect for self and others. Our community expects these young women to make a profound impact in the world.
