AP Government and Politics Guest Speaker

SJA’s “AP Government and Politics” class and Mr. Brandon Westlake (Social Studies Department) welcomed Courtney Emerson, the co-founder of “All in Together,” for a virtual class discussion. “All in Together” is a non-partisan, non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage, equip, educate, and empower voting-age women to participate fully in America’s civic and political life.

Students are currently reading her book After You Vote: A Woman's Guide to Making an Impact from Town Hall to Capitol Hill and had the opportunity to ask Courtney Emerson about the book, her career and women in politics.
St. Joseph’s Academy is a private, Catholic high school for girls in St. Louis, Missouri, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Our mission is to provide quality Catholic education for young women in an environment that challenges them to grow in faith, knowledge, and respect for self and others. Our community expects these young women to make a profound impact in the world.
