Students Accepted to Present at American Geophysical Union

St. Joseph’s Academy is proud to announce that proposals to present at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Virtual Fall Meeting, submitted by Julia C. ’22 and Anna W. ’23, have been accepted. They will present at the “Bright STARS (Students Training as Research Scientists) Poster Session” on December 10, 2020.

Approximately 30,000 scientists have already registered for this international conference. The goal of this poster session is to give students (grades 6-12) a platform to communicate their research to scientists, educators and peers. Both students participate in SJA’s “Independent Science Research” opportunity, facilitated by Mrs. Katie Lodes (Science Department).

St. Joseph’s Academy is a private, Catholic high school for girls in St. Louis, Missouri, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Our mission is to provide quality Catholic education for young women in an environment that challenges them to grow in faith, knowledge, and respect for self and others. Our community expects these young women to make a profound impact in the world.
