“I Spy” Digital Photography

Students in SJA's "Digital Photography" class studied "flat lay" photography. A flat lay is an image or a style of photograph, in which a number of items are arranged on a surface and photographed from above. Students gathered objects and backdrops from around their homes to photograph "I Spy" flat lays. They worked with natural lighting from windows or outside to carefully craft their images.
