Mrs. Kelly Berry Accepted to Columbia University Program

Mrs. Kelly Berry (English Department) was accepted to the highly-competitive 2020 TOLI Summer Seminar on Holocaust Education, through The Olga Lengyel Institute, at Columbia University in the City of New York. This eleven-day seminar only accepted a total of 25 middle school, high school and college educators from across the United States. At the seminar, educators will be encouraged to think creatively and collaboratively about how they teach the Holocaust, genocide and social justice.

Mrs. Berry will bring this knowledge to our “Bearing Witness: Holocaust Literature of Extraordinary Lives” class. This course allows students to study the Holocaust through several different genres of literature, including memoirs, novels, poetry, primary documents and short stories.
