Beta Chi Pi Chromatography

By Dr. Rose Davidson, STEM Coordinator
On December 9, members of Beta Chi Pi practiced an American Chemical Society Chem Club outreach activity. They are encouraged to do at least one outreach activity with students at their grade school.

They used chromatography to create works of art, which are being used as holiday decorations in the Zahner Lounge Hallway. Chromatography is a chemical process where the dyes in colored ink were separated as they traveled through the channels of cellulose in paper
