CSJ Founders Day
On October 15, the St. Joseph’s Academy community celebrated the 369th anniversary of the founding of the Sisters of St. Joseph. On this day, SJA remembered the courage and creativity of those first Sisters who, in a society where women were not expected to be either pioneers or innovators, managed to become both.
And so we pray:
We come to You filled with gratitude
that You have called us to be a part of this community
and have blessed us with a unique legacy
of love, service, compassion and leadership.
Inspired by the gifts of the Sisters of St. Joseph,
we pray for eyes to see the needs of our “Dear Neighbor”
and hearts, built for unifying love, that stir in us a call to respond.
St. Joseph’s Academy is a private, Catholic high school for girls in St. Louis, Missouri, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Our mission is to provide quality Catholic education for young women in an environment that challenges them to grow in faith, knowledge, and respect for self and others. Our community expects these young women to make a profound impact in the world.
