JoeBotics at the State Championship

Congratulations to the JoeBotics team for a successful season and their best performance ever at the Missouri FIRST Robotics State Championship!

They qualified for the FIRST Robotics FTC State Championship on March 9 at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. During a process of 60 matches between the 48 teams present, they were selected as “Semi-Finalists.”

Several highlights from the competition included:
  • JoeBotics was one of only three teams in the 24-team ‘T’ Division to score over 1000 points in their qualification matches. 
  • The JoeBotics' team video entry in the Compass Award, recognizing the leadership of mentor Alfred Strout, earned first runner-up. 
  • Katie Kostecki ’20 was named as a Dean’s List Finalist and will represent JoeBotics and the state of Missouri at the World Championships.
  • Kristin Strout, Katie Horan, Marissa Ledbetter, Margaret Maloney and Bonnie Peccola were recognized as seniors and welcomed into the FIRST Alumni association.
Congratulations to our team: Katie Augsburger, Kate Broun, Kelly Dean, Sydney Hilker, Katie Horan, Kelsey Kimes, Katie Kostecki, Marissa Ledbetter, Margaret Maloney, Bonnie Peccola, Marie Rebello, Sarah Stewart, Kristin Strout, Madison Weishaar, and Katie Young.
