There is an element of competition, but it’s friendly. Each of the schools participating will still share data and updates throughout the 3 days of GSU. The school with the highest percentage of alumnae participation will win bragging rights.

Gifts of $5 or more to The St. Joe Fund can be made online, on Venmo to @Stjoeangels (be sure to include your class year and maiden name, if applicable), or through the mail, send checks to The St. Joe Fund, 2307 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131. Checks should be made payable to St. Joseph’s Academy and must be received between Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9, 2024.

The competition will run from Tuesday, May 7 at 12:00 a.m. until Thursday, May 9 at 11:59 p.m. and only gifts made to The St. Joe Fund during this time period will count towards the total alumnae giving percentage for the GSU competition. Gifts made before or after this time period will not count, neither will pledges or previous pledge payments. All gifts need to be made to The St. Joe Fund. Major gifts, scholarships, endowments, event-funded gifts, or other campaigns are not included in the challenge.

This is a participation based competition. The more alumnae that give, the better chance SJA has to win. Gifts must be $5 or more to count. And this is strictly an alumnae competition! Only alumnae who make a gift will be counted towards the participation percentage. This is when “Not I, But We” really comes into play. Remind your classmates, friends, and family to make their gifts during GSU!

SJA is blessed to have an alumnae base of over 8,000 contactable alumnae. This means it takes at least 80 St. Joe alumnae making a gift to The St. Joe Fund for us to move 1%. However, the competition in 2023 was so close. We came in 2nd place by 15 alumnae! If 15 additional Angel alumnae would’ve made a gift during the 2023 GSU, we would have taken 1st place. So, every gift counts!

The St. Joe Fund supports the schools areas of greatest need. Your gift impacts our students in a multitude of ways such as our State-of-the-Art Facilities, Campus Ministry programs, advanced technology, SJA traditions, and so much more.
