The St. Joe Fund
Annual giving plays an essential role in helping SJA fulfill its mission of providing quality Catholic education for young women in an environment that challenges them to grow in faith, knowledge, and respect for self and others.
Annual contributions support the cost of educating each student and help close the tuition gap. These gifts directly impact academics, arts, sports, facilities, technology, professional development for faculty, scholarships and tuition assistance for students who qualify.
You have the opportunity to make a difference every year in the life of a St. Joe Angel and these are a few of the ways to give an annual gift.
Annual Giving Fund Designations
The Sister Celestine Pommerel Society
The Sister Celestine Pommerel Society recognizes generous donors who make Annual Gifts to St. Joseph's Academy of $1,000 or more. The society bears the name of the Academy's first principal, Sister Celestine Pommerel, CSJ. Arriving in the late 1830s, she was one of the first Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet to settle in St. Louis. It was under her leadership that St. Joseph's Academy was established in 1840.
The Sister Celestine Pommerel Society giving levels are:
- Platinum Circle: $1,000,000+
- Diamond Circle: $500,000-$999,999
- Gold Circle: $250,000-$499,999
- Lyon Circle: $150,000-$249,999
- Carondelet Circle: $50,000 - $149,999
- Fontbonne Circle: $25,000 - $49,999
- St. Joseph our Patron Circle: $10,000 - $24,999
- Sr. Mary de Paul Circle: $5,000 - $9,999
- The Academy Circle: $2,500 - $4,999
- Archangel Circle: $1,000 - $2,499

Alumnae Giving - Why I Give
I give to St. Joseph's Academy because the school provided me a strong and challenging education, the values that I continue to live by and lifelong friendships. My four years at the Academy will always be some of the happiest years and fondest memories of my life. I am forever grateful for my experience as an Angel.
Each year, in order to show my gratitude for the phenomenal education and experience I received, I participate in the Annual Giving Campaign. I know that the continued sucess of SJA for future generations depends on support from our entire Alumnae Community. I hope to one day see my two daughters follow in my footsteps and attend St. Joe. Giving annually to the Academy is my way of ensuring future generations - my daughters included - are afforded the same opportunities I had as a student of SJA.
