Summer at SJA: Self-Portrait Drawing

5th-8th Grade

The goal of this camp will be to produce a self-portrait on paper using graphite pencils. Participants will work all week designing and drawing a small self-portrait, under the guidance of a self-taught local artist. We will listen to a variety of music and discuss the differences between perception and reality when it comes to self-image. Participants will learn how not to be afraid of making mistakes when creating art. No prior drawing or art experience is necessary!

Online registration for this event has now closed. Please contact Mrs. Cori Sallaberry '96 at (314) 394-4319 with any questions.
