Class of 2028

Junior year brings new opportunities, new responsibilities, and many memorable experiences. As upperclasswomen, juniors continue growing in confidence while taking on greater leadership roles, beginning to discern what comes next after high school, and celebrating some of St. Joe's most treasured traditions.

From Junior Ring and increased involvement across campus to working more closely with our College Advising team, your daughter will experience many important milestones throughout the year. This page is designed to help you navigate junior year, celebrate its unique traditions, and know where to turn when questions arise. We're grateful to continue partnering with your family as your daughter's journey as an Angel continues.

Junior Year at a Glance: Junior year is a time of leadership, preparation, and celebration. Here are just a few of the milestones your daughter will experience this year: Fall Ball, Junior Retreat, PSAT/NMSQT or Practice ACT, College Advising Kickoff, Junior Ring, Kairos Preparation, AP Exams.

JUNIOR RING

The tradition of the distributing of a school ring dates at least to the fall of 1924, first mentioned in that year’s yearbook, yet until the late 1960s, it was the seniors who received the ring. The treasured ceremony that occurs today evolved over decades, each era contributing a piece to the tradition. The current ring of gold with green glass etched with the school seal was adopted in 1965.

Junior Ring Day 2027 will be held on Friday, April 2nd. The day begins with the Junior Ring Mass & Ceremony at school, followed by a luncheon hosted by the Angel Parent Organization. That evening, juniors celebrate together at the annual Junior Ring Dance. Receiving a class ring is one of St. Joe's most cherished traditions and a special milestone of junior year.

Ring Information
Students will receive their Jostens ring packet and order form on Friday, September 4th. The packet includes ring styles, metal options, pricing, and ordering information.

Ring Orders & Sizing
It is very important to turn ring orders in on time to guarantee that the ring is here in time for the Junior Ring Mass. Here is some important information we want to note:

  • Rings orders are due on:
    • Monday, September 21st for last names A-L
    • Wednesday, September 23rd for last names M-Z
    • Jostens will be set up in the Shanahan Commons before school beginning at 7:30 a.m. on these days to size students and collect ring orders.
  • Pricing and metal descriptions are located on page 2 of the ring flyer inside of the packet.
  • When a student places an order, she will receive a free companion ring in her ring size. This is to ensure that the ring size is right for them. If your daughter finds that this companion ring is too big or too small, please email our Jostens rep ASAP.

A minimum $80 deposit is required when placing a ring order. Jostens will email monthly invoices to the email address provided on the order form. Rings should be paid in full by March 1 in preparation for Junior Ring Day. Rings are delivered directly to St. Joseph's Academy and will be presented to students during the Junior Ring Mass & Ceremony. Students will not receive their rings prior to the ceremony. If you have questions after reviewing the ring packet, please contact our Jostens representative using the information provided in the packet.

Additional details about Junior Ring Day, including the ceremony, reception, and Ring Dance, will be shared with students and families through school email communications as the event approaches.
