As an SJA parent or guardian, participation in your Angel’s education and high school experience is essential.

With parent-daughter Masses and events, service opportunities, activities with Angel Moms and Angel Dads, there are many ways to volunteer throughout the year and be connected and serve with the mission of St. Joseph’s Academy. The Angel Parent Organization (APO) offers parents, guardians, and families the opportunity to fulfill the mission of St. Joseph’s Academy through volunteerism and engagement. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved and support the school. Opportunities can fit all interests and schedules

September 16 - Angels in Prayer Community Mass

Our Campus Ministry and Angels in Prayer students would like to invite alumnae, parents, friends, and family to join them for Mass in the St. Joseph's Chapel.

Angels in Prayer is a student-led club that began hosting Masses in our newly renovated Chapel during the 2025–2026 school year. This Mass now brings us all together to celebrate our Catholic faith as one school community. We invite everyone to participate!

Your FAFSA base years are now or coming up. The decisions you make today can shape your family's aid eligibility and overall college costs.

Parents of Juniors & Seniors
Financial aid is renewed annually. Strategic planning now can still lower costs through graduation.

Pre-registration is required to attend this Zoom session. You will receive a confirmation email and reminders before the event begins. Attendees are anonymous to each other.

A practicing CPA turned Chief Financial Officer, Scott has spent over two decades as a College Funding and licensed Investment Advisor. He specializes in simplifying complex financial strategies to improve cash flow, reduce taxes, and protect family assets — especially during the college years.

September 24 - Mother-Daughter Mass & Reception

We invite our St. Joe Angels and their mothers and mother-figures to join us for Mass in the Performing Arts Center followed by a breakfast reception in the Shanahan Commons. Come be a part of this special time with your daughter!

October 2 - St. Joe Serves

Volunteers are needed on the 2nd of every month to help serve meals to the homeless at the Sts. Peter and Paul Soup Kitchen. The St. Joe community helps prepare and serve approximately 150 meals, and these are served year-round. If the 2nd of the month falls during the week, Monday through Friday, we provide a dinner. If the 2nd falls on a weekend, we serve a lunch.

There are several ways to get involved with the St. Joe Serves program:

If you are interested in contributing ingredients towards the meal, please email stjoeserves@gmail.com to be added to our Sign-Up Genius list.
We also need volunteers to help serve meals to the guests on the 2nd. For dinners during the week, volunteers arrive at 4:00 p.m. and finish by 6:15 p.m. For weekend lunches, volunteers arrive at 11:00 a.m. and finish by 1:15 p.m.

Sts. Peter and Paul Soup Kitchen is located at 711 Allen Avenue in Soulard. Parking is available in the gated lot, and volunteers enter through the gray door marked “Kitchen.”

October 5 - St. Joe Classic Golf & Pickleball Tournament

The 19th Annual St. Joe Classic Golf & Pickleball Tournament will be held Monday, October 5th, 2026 at Forest Hills Country Club.

This important tournament began in 2007, founded by a dedicated group of dads. Today, it continues with the support of all parents within our Angel Parent Organization (APO) and the entire SJA community, united in fulfilling our mission. Proceeds benefit the Heart of an Angel Fund and the General Scholarship Fund. The Heart of an Angel Fund helps ensure that every young woman has access to traditions and activities that make the St. Joseph's Academy experience so unique. The General Scholarship Fund supports the 36% of SJA students who currently receive scholarship support or tuition assistance, a need that continues to grow each year.

The event features an 18-hole and 9-hole golf tournament, as well as a pickleball tournament. There is also a live and silent auction, plus dinner.

October 7 - Angels in Prayer Community Mass

Our Campus Ministry and Angels in Prayer students would like to invite alumnae, parents, friends, and family to join them on the first Wednesday of the month for Mass in the St. Joseph's Chapel.

Angels in Prayer is a student-led club that began hosting Masses in our newly renovated Chapel during the 2025–2026 school year. This monthly Mass now brings us all together to celebrate our Catholic faith as one school community. We invite everyone to participate!

If you are unable to attend in person, you can still pray with us. We will be live streaming our Angels in Prayer Mass. Following Mass, a prerecorded Rosary will be played in the St. Joseph's Chapel for those attending and livestreaming, allowing members of our community - near and far - to continue joining together in prayer.

Please register online to let us know if you plan to join our Angels at Mass in person or online. We look forward to sharing this celebration of Mass with you.

We invite all fathers and father figures to join their Angels for Mass at 7:30 a.m. in the SJA Performing Arts Center. After Mass, coffee and donuts will be served, and you will have the opportunity to socialize with other Angel Dads and their daughters.

Wellington Gymnasium

We look forward to welcoming parents and guardians to Parent-Teacher Conferences! All teachers will be available at individual tables, organized by department, in the Wellington Gym. Conferences will be held on a first come, first served basis. We do ask that the discussions keep to a five-minute limit if there is a line.

The doors will open at 4:00 p.m., and conferences will wrap up at 6:30 p.m.

The popular Alumnae-sponsored shopping and social event for the St. Joe community returns! Join us for Holiday Boutique Night Wednesday, November 11th, 2026 at 5:30 p.m.

Bring your friends and get started on holiday shopping! The event will take place in the Shanahan Commons and the Wellington Gymnasium from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Proceeds from the Holiday Boutique support the SJA Alumnae Association, helping us continue to provide events and programs that connect our alumnae.

November 15 - Service Sunday Grandparents & Family Mass

We are excited to welcome SJA grandparents and families to Service Sunday Mass on November 15th!

This day is the start of Mission Week, a cherished tradition at SJA where our school motto, "Not I, But We," becomes a lived reality as the entire school community joins forces throughout the week to support the missions of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. With this Mass, we celebrate our grandparents and family members who first taught and modeled for our SJA Angels how to "serve the Dear Neighbor without distinction." We are proud of the community service our Angels perform throughout their four years at SJA, and we know this spirit of generosity reflects the dedication and guidance they receive at home. A coffee and donut reception will immediately follow Mass.

An Evening with the Angels Auction

An Evening with the Angels is a vital fundraising resource needed to continue St. Joseph’s Academy’s mission of providing a quality Catholic education for young women in an environment that challenges them to grow in faith, knowledge, and respect for self and others. Our annual dinner auction has an impressive history. Parent volunteers are crucial to our success, whether they volunteer on the committee, sign up to help with Auction Work Day, or assist with setup! We also need over 50 adult volunteers for the night of the event and appreciate any parent who chooses to work that evening. Thank you for being the most important component of our success!

We believe that the opportunity for participation in interscholastic athletics is a vital part of the educational experience. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the activity, school, student body, community, and to the students themselves. We have opportunities for our Angel Parents to help out with events such as working the door at tournaments, helping with parking, and much more.
