When you receive your daughter's schedule for 2026-27, it will have the information you need to order her books, based on her course load and teachers.

Required Texts:
Unless otherwise noted, all books listed are required.

ISBNs:
Please use the ISBN listed for each book to ensure you purchase the correct edition. 

Purchasing: 
We recommend buying or renting books early, as used copies and rentals may become limited later in the summer. Books may be purchased  from local or online booksellers, including Amazon and Barnes & Noble. 

Fees:
Some courses include books, materials, or online resources that the teacher will provide to students. Any associated fees will be noted for that course.

It is already time to save the date for senior yearbook and banner photos:

• July 1-2
• July 16-17

Photos will be taken at Wagner Portrait Group’s studio.

Wagner will communicate directly with families as these dates approach to provide scheduling details for appointments and next steps. 

Senior Banner Photo Guidelines

• Students will wear the uniform skirt or uniform pants with a senior yellow polo
• Yellow polos may be purchased through Just Me Apparel or may be available at the Global Learning Vintage Sale (May 5–7)
• Wagner will also have yellow polos available to borrow at the studio, if needed
• Please note: the yellow polo is for banner photos only. Seniors may begin wearing it during the school year once senior privileges are granted.
• Shirts must be tucked in
• Skirts must be the appropriate length and should not be rolled

Yearbook Photo Guidelines

• Waist-up or head-and-shoulders photo
• Indoor or outdoor setting
• No low-cut or strapless tops (photos will be cropped if needed)
• No exposed midriff
• No pets or props

There are several required forms to complete for returning student(s) in the classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029. These will need to be completed or uploaded in the SJA Parent Portal. Please check your email for additional information.

Class of 2030 - please visit the Class of 2030 page for information on enrollment for incoming freshmen.

For every day that a student is absent, a parent or guardian must call St. Joseph’s Academy at (314) 394-4300 or email mainoffice@sja1840.org to report your situation by 8:00 a.m. If a call or email has not been received by that time, an automated message will be sent to parents/guardians at home/work and a return call to the main office is required from the parent/guardian.

Wagner Portrait Group will be photographing students for portrait packages & school records in the fall.

They will email parents with ordering information and the pre-order password. 

Order Pictures

A student who drives to school must register her car and obtain a St. Joseph’s Academy parking permit from the Main Office. Parking passes are issued on a first-come, first-served basis once a student obtains their driver’s license and emails Anna Hotop, Principal of Student Affairs, to request parking registration. 

Parking is not allowed on Litzsinger Drive or in the lots of our adjacent neighbors. Violators may be ticketed by Frontenac Police.

2025-26 Student Parent Handbook

Uniform items may be ordered through Just Me Apparel, including senior yellow shirts. Additional items are sold in the SJA Spirit Shop.

A blazer option has been added to our approved school uniform. The blazer can be purchased through Just Me Apparel. It may be worn on any school day and in place of the vest on formal dress days.

St. Joseph's Academy sends out a parent e-newsletter each Sunday during the school year. This newsletter features events, activities, and parent happenings for that week. If you are not receiving the newsletter and would like to, please contact Tina Worland at tworland@sja1840.org.

The Angel Parent Organization sends out a monthly email that includes all the ways that parents can get involved at SJA. If you do not receive the email and would like to, please contact Meredith Metzger, Advancement Specialist, at mmetzger@sja1840.org.
