We welcome and encourage parents to be involved with their daughters' education at St. Joe. Staying connected with school news, information, traditions and opportunities for volunteerism, will enhance your experience in her high school years.
Students use their school ID to purchase breakfast and/or lunch from the Cafe. Check deposits to fund a new meal card may be turned in at the Main Office the first week of school, or you may also load your daughter's cafeteria account online using MySchoolBucks.
Enter your email address and click "Get Started" and continue setting up your account.
Once your account is set up, you will need to set up your student's account. Click "Get Started"
Select the state
Select the district - choose "Food Service Consultants" and click "Add District"
Select "Add Student"
Select school "205 - St. Joseph's Academy"
You will need to add your child's meal card number to complete setup. The number you use will be the same four digit ID number used to access report cards and purchase books. Please add the prefix 205 to it, in order to identify the school. For example: if your daughter's number is 1234, please use 2051234.
If you have any question about account setup, please contact Jan Wilford, Cafeteria Manager, at email@example.com.
You will be able to view a detailed history of your child’s account activity for the past 90 days, view account balances, set up low balance reminders, which will be emailed to you, make arrangements for automatic payments, and even use the mobile app. You can still send in a check if this is more convenient for you. Checks should be made out to Food Service Consultants and given to Jan Wilford, Cafeteria Manager.
MySchoolBucks Instructions (Make an Online Payment)
Click the site menu (if you are on mobile, this is the three lines at the top right of the page) then click on "Meal Accounts"
Select "Make a Payment"
Follow the prompts to add funds to the account
It may take up to 24 hours for funds to appear on a student's account. Please be aware that students with insufficient funds will not be able to make purchases with their ID card.
If your daughter's account has an insufficient fund balance on December 1st and/or April 1st, your FACTS account will be charged a $25 NSF fee plus the amount necessary to bring your MySchoolBucks account to a zero balance.
Credit Card/Debit Card Machine
There will be a credit card/debit card machine available at the register this year. If a student's MySchoolBucks account has insufficient funds, they will have the option to purchase food with a credit or debit card.
For every day that a student is absent, a parent or guardian must call St. Joseph’s Academy at (314) 394-4300 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to report your situation by 8:00 a.m. If a call or email has not been received by that time, an automated message will be sent to parents/guardians at home/work and a return call to the main office is required from the parent/guardian.
For more information on planned absences, please refer to the Parent-Student Handbook.
St. Joseph's Academy sends out a parent e-newsletter each Sunday during the school year. This newsletter features events, activities, and parent happenings for that week. If you are not receiving the newsletter and would like to, please contact Laura Baxendale at email@example.com.
The St. Joseph's Academy virtual bookstore is hosted by BNC Services (Barnes & Noble College). BNC, Barnes and Noble College, will again be accepting textbook returns. Like last year, we will not have a drop-off location to assist you on campus, so families may ship back materials on their own. This has always been an option, but will be the only option since we still have pandemic restrictions in place. To assist families with mailing, BNC will provide a postage-paid mailing label, so there will be no extra cost involved in sending them back. The links below contain information for acceptable conditions of returned books and creating your online quote. If you have any questions, you may contact BNC directly or Laura Baxendale.
A member of SJA’s COVID Team will follow up with return-to-school protocols within one business day of the student’s COVID Form submission.
Students who miss school for medical/quarantine purposes will make up academic work pursuant to Student Handbook policies. There will be no Zoom or other virtual options available.
Upon return, students must wear a facemask diligently over their mouth and nose until they reach 10 days from their positive test. If they must remove their facemask, (e.g. in order to eat or drink), they should separate themselves from others.
Parents/Guardians must still notify the Main Office of any student absence by calling (314) 394-4300.
(required for any student who intends to try out for any sport at any time (fall, winter, spring) during the 2023-24 school year)
MSHSAA released updated protocol for physicals and pre-participation documentation in late April. Students that participate are required to obtain a physical examination. Below are the new MSHSAA forms and procedure information. Please read the directions carefully, as there are three steps and only step three (page five) will be uploaded to your SchoolAdmin account.
