Application Process

Thank you for your interest in St. Joseph’s Academy. 

St. Joseph's Academy recognizes that students are not defined by one area alone. The Admissions Council uses a holistic approach that considers the student's classroom performance in 7th and 8th grades, standardized test scores, and their activities and involvement. The application process typically begins after the student completes her Shadow Visit. Please click here for more information on shadow visits.

Application Checklist

Once you have completed a shadow visit or school tour, and have decided to apply to St. Joseph's Academy, the next step will be to begin the formal application process. 


First, complete the St. Joseph's Academy online application through SchoolAdmin. This online application will also create an online portal, which you can log into to check the progress of your application. A checklist will show you what has been already been completed, and what is still needed in order to be considered for admissions.

If St. Joe is your first choice high school, please complete our online application at the link below. We will begin accepting applications for the Class of 2027 on October 1, 2022. Applications are due by December 1, 2022 for the Class of 2027.

If your daughter attends a Catholic, Archdiocesan grade school, you will also be asked to complete the Application Intent Form online. This form is required for official 8th grade records to be forwarded to the requested first-choice school. This online form will be available between Monday, October 3 and Monday, November 14, 2022.

Family Meeting

These begin in December. Your daughter and at least one parent/guardian must attend. Registration for the family meeting will be available on November 1, 2022.  

Student Essay

You will be asked to complete a Student Essay Form. Detailed instructions for submission will be available in the admissions portal. The essay form will be available on November 1, 2022. 


If you attend a public or an independent school, please provide your  transcript to St. Joe with the Transcript Request Form found on your checklist or in the Transfer Students section of this page.

Once these steps have been completed, your daughter can be considered for admission. Families are traditionally notified of  acceptance on Acceptance Day in January.
